Addison Full Circle Film Festival

The first annual Addison Full Circle Film Festival is a new kind of film festival – one built around the belief that art can be more intentional, more inclusive, and more connected to the community it serves.

Rather than a single weekend event, the Addison Full Circle Film Festival unfolds over multiple seasons. The Fall Festival, taking place November 7 & 8, 2026, serves as the official kickoff to the festival cycle, introducing audiences to bold narrative storytelling and Texas-based filmmakers in an intentional, thoughtfully curated setting.

Following the Fall Festival, Winter and Spring festivals will take place throughout the year, each showcasing a new slate of narrative films. Winners from each seasonal festival will advance to the Addison Full Circle Film Festival Finale, held in August, where final selections will be screened and recognized.

Films will be reviewed by a panel of local judges, including filmmakers, educators, and creative professionals who understand both the craft of storytelling and the value of supporting artists at every stage of their journey.

Rules & Terms

For Texas Filmmakers, By Texas Filmmakers
The Addison Full Circle Film Festival is created to support and showcase the Texas filmmaking community. Programming, judging, and curation are led by Texas-based filmmakers and creative professionals.

Eligibility:
• Submissions are open exclusively to Texas filmmakers.
• The director or producing team must be Texas residents
• The film must have been primarily produced in Texas.
• Proof of eligibility may be requested.

Accepted Films:
• Narrative films only
• Short Films: up to 40 minutes
• Feature Films: 40+ minutes

The festival does not accept:
• Documentaries
• Student films
• Experimental films
• Music videos
• Web series or episodic content

Submission Guidelines:
• Films must be completed at the time of submission.
• Submissions must be made through the official submission platform.
• Non-English films must include English subtitles.

Selection & Judging:
• Films are selected by the festival programming team.
• A panel of Texas-based judges will determine winners.
• Judges’ decisions are final.

Screenings:
• Selected films will screen during a seasonal festival (Winter, Spring, or Summer).
• Seasonal winners advance to the Addison Full Circle Film Festival, held in August 2027 at the The Addison Performing Arts Centre.

Rights & Promotion:
• Filmmakers confirm they hold all rights to submitted content.
• The festival may use stills, trailers, or excerpts (up to 60 seconds) for promotion.
• Submission fees are non-refundable.

Agreement:
• Submission constitutes acceptance of all festival rules and terms.
