Originally made for the TN10 Filmmaking Competition hosted by the Knoxville Film Festival, this short has quickly become one of my personal favorites out of all my work to date. The entire cast and crew had so much fun making this goofy but heartfelt tale of two brothers over the course of a couple of days at my parents' house in northern Mississippi. This film is built on the idea that we all revert to our childhood selves in ways large and small when we re-enter those family dynamics for any length of time. It doesn't take David and Thomas long to start bickering, rough-housing, and wreaking general havoc on their mother, all the while avoiding the real reason they are back home to begin with. This production was quick and instinctual, resulting in a short that feels alive and spontaneous and embraces its rough edges. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope it moves you in some way. - Kyle T.
