John Turner is from a small town in the Mid-West. He began his quest in the world of storytelling growing up in Ohio with his many siblings in relative poverty. But the darkness from sitting around without electricity from time to time didn't stop the light from coming his imagination to shine forth. From his Award-winning book of poetry, Take this Journey With Me, Poems from the Laboratory of John Turner, to his Award-winning screenplays, Time, Space, And The Poet and Time, Space, & the Poet - Part Two.

John currently resides in California and continues to write screenplays as well as poetry. His main source of income has been working many years for Southern California Edison. The irony of working for a power company hasn't been lost on him considering his experiences as a child sitting in the dark without electricity.

Having won several critically claimed awards with his first book of poetry, Take This Journey With Me-Poems from the Laboratory of John Turner, then later on, winning several awards with his screenplays, his work as a literary creator will certainly be recognized in time, not just by a few critics but by the masses.
