Jasna Safić (1978) was born in Tuzla and grew up in Bosanski Novi and Zagreb. After pharmacy studies, she has working in several foreign and domestic companies in the field of drug registration and pharmacovigilance. She is working on the film for the last several years, during which she has gone through a series of screenwriting and directing workshops. As part of the Croatian Short Pitch at the Festival Kratki na brzinu, in 2017 she was awarded for the best pitch according to which the short feature film Switch was made in 2019, and for the film Decompensation from 2020 she received a Special Mention from the Jury of Critics at the 14th Gledalište KinoKluba Zagreb. She is an active member of the amateur film associations KinoKlub Zagreb and Blank. She is also a member of Society of Croatian Film Directors.
