Director Biography - Raman Irman

Raman Irman (born September 11, 1997, in Tabriz, Iran) is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, editor, novelist, and lecturer in independent cinema. He is the founder and director of the World House of Cinema Artists (WHCA), a global non-profit institution uniting filmmakers, actors, writers, and creative professionals across all disciplines of cinema.

Raman is also the founder and lead educator of the M&R Pictures Film School, and the creator of M&R Pictures, an international film production and distribution company committed to supporting emerging and established voices in world cinema.

In 2022, his live-action short film Visualization gained international recognition and qualified for the 96th Academy Awards, earning Raman widespread visibility in the global film community. At only 23 years old, he founded the Kurdistan International Independent Film Festival, becoming the youngest filmmaker to establish and direct an international film festival.

As an author, Raman has written multiple philosophical novels along with two academic books on filmmaking - First-time Filmmaker (2025) and Professional Filmmaker (2025). His collective film and literary works have received over 80 international awards.

Beyond his creative achievements, Raman Irman is the founder of several respected international award programs, including the M&R Pictures Screenwriting Awards, Golden Eyes, Muzzle Awards, Mojo International Film Awards, and M&R Pictures Awards, each designed to elevate artistic excellence and global cinematic talent.

Most recently, Raman founded the World Screenplay Bank (WSB) - an independent international institution dedicated to the global registration, verification, and protection of screenwriters' creative rights. Through WSB, WHCA, and M&R Pictures, he continues to expand the influence of independent cinema and strengthen creative collaboration across borders.

Raman Irman's visionary work bridges art, education, and cultural innovation, establishing him as one of the leading contemporary figures in international independent filmmaking.

To be honest Visualization was inspired by my real life. To be more precise it is what I have been experiencing for a while. It had a absolute touch with my thoughts. This is what I have been through and hope you can feel it.
