Iranian Filmmaker, Distributor, and Actor
Arad Navizi (born in Tehran, Iran, 2003) is a 21-year-old Iranian filmmaker, distributor, and actor. He held a diploma in "Drama" from the Young Cinematographers Association Art School in 2021. Navizi began acting in performances and short films in 2018 and taught himself filmmaking. So far, he has made two short films.
Since 2018 and for two years, he worked as the international relations representative of an Iranian acting academy, during which he presented a number of theater productions from the mentioned academy at various international events. He participated in Shakespeare's Globe Conference, which was held in July 2019 in Beijing, China, and earned the organization's certificate.
Navizi's first short film, "The Thing" (Original title: «شِیء» | Romanized: Shey), was made in 2022. This film achieved several international accolades, including the Best Student Film award at the Garden State Film Festival and an award at the Josiah Media Festival. His second short film, "The Line" (Original title: «خط» | Romanized: Khat), was produced in 2025.
Since 2021, he has started studying for a bachelor's in cinema at one of the BAFTA-qualifying universities, Tehran University of Art.
