THEME:
Please submit only works related to the topic of the festival, about sexuality, pornography, gender and feminism, sex work or sex activism. According to the rules of FilmFreeway we do not accept mainstream pornography. Films submitted must contain erotic or explicit images or at least have an unashamed perspective on the topic.
FILES:
Screening copies must be H.264 or MOV. and must arrive at least one month before the festival.
SUBTITLES:
All films with dialogue must have at least .SRT English language subtitles file. Spanish subtitles would also be appreciated, but not mandatory.
DURATION:
Short films must be shorter than 21:00 minutes. Re-Editions of longer works to fit in the duration terms may be accepted. Documentary and Feature films don't have duration limit.
YEAR OF PRODUCTION:
All short film submissions to be nominated for competition must be produced after 1 January 2023. We encourage to submit your most recent works only, with exception for the "BCN Post-Porn Retrospective" category (out of competition) and other curated programs that are not as open call.
FEES:
We are not in position to pay screening fees or submission costs. There's no submission fee for film submission.
PROMO MATERIALS:
Upon acceptance, promo materials as screenshots, stills and Press Kit will be requested to promote the festival and the screenings. PFFBCN will hold the right to use it and adapt it to the style of the event's promo materials.
CANCELLATION AND VENUE MODIFICATIONS:
PFFBCN reserves the right to postpone and/or cancel the festival under compelling circumstances. It also reserves the right that locations may change in the course of planning the festival.
ONLINE STREAMING:
PFF BCN will NOT stream online in 2024.

LEGALS:
1. You guarantee that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the film you submit to us, all rights have been cleared and you are the responsible of any infringement, accepting to indemnify the festival against all third-party claims in connection with screening the film during PFFBCN and other uses described in the terms. This includes covering any legal costs that might be incurred.
2. You entitle PFFBCN to to show the selected films during the duration of the festival any number of times, in any category the curation team decides. The submission to a specific category doesn't imply it will be screened in that section. The curation team can modify the sections and come up with new ones to adapt for the programming needs.
3. In the case of posterior screenings after the festival, you will be notified and asked permission to screen your film if selected by the curation team.
4. If the film receives an award at PFFBCN the festival reserves the right to show the film free of charge as part of a best-of program to promote the winning films/filmmakers as well as the festival. Authors will be notified in advance.
5.If your film is selected to be included in the program you grant PFFBCN the nonexclusive, royalty-free right to show – online, via television or in cinemas, in a single form or as part of a showreel – a trailer or excerpts of up to 1 minute of the film for advertising and promotion purposes. If the film is to be shown the submitter will be informed ahead of time.
6. No film may be withdrawn from the Festival program after it has been submitted.
7. Travel expenses and accomodation may not be assumed to be paid by the festival.
8. Board members of PFFBCN have final right to take incontrovertible decisions about matters which are not considered in the present rules.
