Joan Paüls is a young and established Spanish film director with more than 10 years of directing experience now. He did his first short film at the age of 17 and during the next years he directed and wrote more than eight short films that have travelled around the world being nominated in more than 60 festivals with 5 different films awarded. On the meantime, he also excelled the prestigious MA Directing Fiction at Goldsmiths University, becoming insatiable.

In 2014, he co-founded his own production company Kill the Film (www.killthefilm.com), opening his scope to the world of music videos and commercials, working with artists as Marsal Ventura, Crooked Colours, Madison Mars or Joe Stone and labels such Spinnin’ Records, Sony Music, Clipper’s Sounds, Falcona Music or Sweat It Out Music. In three years, he positioned the company as one of the main EDM music video producers at the time.

He didn’t stop there and he also worked for other big companies such as Somesuch, one of the top global companies, Magic Light Pictures, with several Academy Award nominations, RCR Films or Harold Entertainment, one of the world top advertising companies.

One year ago he moved to Los Angeles to continue his directing career in Hollywood, where he is preparing his first feature film and where he directed 'The Disease', his latest short film shot in the heart of Hollywood.
