BKFF is a Televised Awards Event dedicated to the media makers
from around the world who break their ass everyday and stop
at nothing to make their vision come to life. Films selected to participate in the festival will be broadcast on Channel 20 in the Cortland County area during scheduled timeslots.

Broken Knuckle founders are gritty, “do it yourself” filmmakers from New York that have created an online space for independent filmmakers from across
the globe to receive recognition and present their work.

Submitted Films will be reviewed by a team of judges made up of independent filmmakers who will determine 2016 Official Selections as well as winners of the following categories:

--Filet Mignon
--Hanger Steak
--London Broil
--New York Strip
--Ribeye
--Tbone
--Mitchell's Choice

Winners will receive Official Festival Laurels

SUBMISSON RULES:

1. Filmmakers must have permission to use ALL media in their
film submission (images, sound, music, etc.)

2. Films must be in English or have English subtitles

3. Films must be independently produced

4. Films must be submitted digitally via Filmfreeway.com

5. Films must have been completed AFTER January 2010

6. Only completed films will be considered; no works in progress

7. Feature films are 40 minutes in length or longer. Short films are under 40 minutes

Broken Knuckle Film Festival is exclusively a Televised Awards Event at this time. Submissions must be made online (via www.filmfreeway.com) and Official Selections will be featured online (via www.vimeo.com). Official Selection and award notifications will be delivered electronically. Physical prizes (certificates, plaques, trophies, etc.) will be mailed to the award winners at Broken Knuckle Film Festival's expense.

Entrants warrant that they have the legal right to enter film work to the Broken Knuckle Film Festival. As the Director/Producer of the Film, entrants have submitted to the Festival, entrants represent and warrant to the Festival that the Film and all parts thereof are original; that the Film does not contravene the rights of any person or entity and that entrants own or control the Film and all parts thereof and have the sole authority to submit the Film to the Festival; the Film entrants submitted to the Festival is not subject to nor threatened by any litigation.

Entrants acknowledge that no fiduciary or confidential relationship now exists between the Festival and entrants, and entrants further acknowledge that no such relationship is established by these guidelines, my submission of the Film, or by the Festival’s acceptance, review or retention of the Film.

If a film is accepted, entrants will be solely responsible for delivering their exhibition video materials to Broken Knuckle Film Festival. A complete press kit and an online link to your film will be needed as soon after notification as possible. Broken Knuckle Film Festival cannot be held liable for your exhibition print/video materials which are lost or damaged.

By submitting to the Festival you agree to be included in Broken Knuckle Film Festival’s promotional material (newsletters, flyers, media, etc.).

    I liked the idea of this festival and was very honored to be apart of it but communication was a little weak.

    I believe they were having tech problems that were out of their hands but overall I was happy.

    This may be a fake one. I had the same experiences as previous people replied. A film was accepted, and I never heard anything else. I checked the website to watch all of the films, but there isn't anything at all. We should all get refunds.
