The Woodpecker International Film Festival is a great platform for filmmakers. My film travelled to the festival for the first time this year, and I was pleasantly surprised with both their professionalism and enthusiasm for films. The organising team was dedicated and competent, and all the filmmakers were received with warmth. I was especially impressed by their outreach efforts, which showed in the kind of audience that came for the screenings. I highly recommend this festival.

There were numerous films which were screened but the film 'WOMENIYA' was awarded with the title of 'BEST FILM'. This doesn't make judgement regarding other films. each movie had its own quality and many of them was presented at its best. The festival was very lively and with a good vibe it becomes one of the best film festivals for the filmmakers and even for the students who are seeking their career in filmmaking.

We were honored that our human rights documentary, Mother, Daughter, Sister, received the Best Short Documentary Award at the Woodpecker International Film Festival. The festival team's communication was always timely and professional. The range of content offered in the screenings was a diverse and rich story collection from across the world. It is increasingly important for filmmakers to take part in festivals across our vast -and yet small world -and a platform to share work in a country as important as India is an opportunity not to be missed! We are determined to join a future festival in person!

Woodpecker Festival was the most well organized film festival I have been a part of. Be it the communications or the screening of the films, Wood Pecker stands as an example.

The Woodpecker Fest team was really very professional. Although I could not attend the festival but screening the films in Delhi's prestigious Siri Fort Auditorium was really a great idea. I missed it. But the communication was great. My hour-long documentary "Hell and Hope" received "Best Film Award in Terrorism, Crime & Violence" category. Their stories were also picked up by a few newspapers which were good follow up and public reach effort from the team. The newspaper coverage also helps filmmakers to take there work to more people.
