Thaís de Almeida Prado is a filmmaker, multidisciplinary artist and and actress; she holds an MA in Film Studies (2014) and a BA in Theater Direction (2004), both at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Thais’ work permeates the interdisciplinary boundaries between cinema, performance, dance, theatre, visual arts, music and literature, often working in collaboration with other artists. She is one of the current talents of Paradiso Project and with this support she recently took part in the Torino Film Lab - Next Comedy, with her script "As Mulheres do Pau-Brasil". The same, in 2021, received at Doc. Lisboa - ARCHÉ, the Special Jury Award for Best Project in Writing and Development Phase. During the pandemic, Thais' participated in several Online projects with her audiovisual works. She was part of several artistic residences in different countries, making individual or collective creations, highlighting her performance in the Peter Greenaway's exhibition "Tulse Luper Suitcases".
