The mission here, at Prodigy Film Festival, is to discover the most innovative student, indie and international films, as well as television productions, with an aim to showcase and recognise raw talent. We also believe in nurturing talent from a young age and will look into this as we judge, focusing on natural aptitude shown from each young performer.

We'll also be awarding winning laurels, on the day of the online event, for Special Recognition. In previous years we've awarded the Elysium, Vision, Eden, Arcadia and Genesis awards to contributors from miscellaneous categories that didn't necessarily fall under any of the main ones, which included, but not limited to: Outstanding Performances, Most Anticipated Music In A Trailer, Best Documentary, Most Original Concept, Most Powerful Narrative, Best Film Poster Design & much more.

At Prodigy, we love good competition, but we value team work and industry support more.

We champion diversity and inclusivity and welcome film/TV submissions from everybody!

As we move forward into the future with Prodigy we have TWO brand new categories!

Any music lovers out there? Feel free to submit your music videos, musicals, musical episodes/films and anything predominantly music oriented into our Music category and any artists, you now have a chance to highlight your work with our Animation category where you can submit your cartoons, anime, stop motion and claymation!

We look forward to bringing you our seventh annual Prodigy Film Festival and we look forward to your submissions from June 2024!

Thank you so much to the Prodigy team for selecting our comedy short and making it an award-winner! This festival is fantastic! Nicholas is very professional. The communication is spot on. We've had a wonderful experience and couldn't ask for more. We will continue to submit future work to this festival. Highly recommend! Thank you again!

  • Top-notch online fest! Communication was outstanding; there was a careful plan in place and it was communicated every step of the way, which I greatly appreciated. Personalized laurels were another nice touch and were much appreciated. The organizers did a great job, would absolutely submit again in the future.

  • Honored to have my film be selected and awarded Best Actress. Great communication about the submission and throughout the selection process. I was a little confused as how the ceremony was conducted online. I unfortunately missed it, but an enjoyable experience nonetheless!

    Response from festival:

    Hi Marnie,

Thanks for that lovely feedback and the nomination for Best Actress was thoroughly deserved.

The awards were given out through our Facebook page that was mentioned and linked in the emails sent out to submitters. They always take place on 1st December each year. Hope that explains it a little better.

Hope to see you back for Prodigy Film Festival 2021!

    Best wishes,

    Nicholas

  • Superb festival! Will certainly be submitting again next year.
