Mohamed Akhssasi was born in 1987 in Casablanca, Morocco. From a young age, he was fascinated by the art of cinema and knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the film industry.
At the youngest age , he created his first film using a 2-megapixel camera on his Nokia cell phone, which sparked his passion for filmmaking. He went on to study film and has since become a professional filmmaker.
In addition to his passion for film, Mohamed has also been involved in various community organizations, including Alternatives for Children and Youth, The New Space, Club Racing Rugby, The Bridge Green Chip, and others. He has also participated in several national and international film festivals, including Festival Casablanca, Cine-Ville Festival, The Lift-Off Sessions, First-Time Filmmaker Sessions, and Lisbon Film Rendezvous.
Mohamed is the founder of his own production company, TV MSAW, and has traveled extensively, collaborating with artists, athletes, and talented individuals from around the world, including the USA, Germany, France, Iran, Swaziland, Italy, China, Armenia, Turkey, Australia, and more.
Among his notable works, Mohamed has directed and produced several short films, including "Am I a Good Man?", "I Want To", and "Cent of Happiness". His films have been well-received and have garnered recognition in the film community. Some of his notable achievements include being a finalist at the Philadelphia World Film Festival in 2022, winning the Best Editing award at the Bitesize Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2021, and being a finalist at the Florence Film Awards and Lisbon Film Rendezvous in 2019. He was also a semi-finalist at the Eurasia International Film Festival in Moscow, an official selection at the International Short Film Festival Sinevizyon in Alsancak, Cyprus, and the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions and Lift-Off Sessions in London, as well as the WIPE amateur film festival in Berlin.
Recently, Mohamed also worked as a Video Producer at Motivator Music USA and Editing Videos for Gayle Jann USA. He also worked as a Graphic Artist for Uniprison Project USA and as a Videographer Editor & Artistic Content Creator at Kids At Risk Action (KARA) in USA.
Right now, Mohamed is in Indonesia to start a new journey. Overall, his passion for art, dedication to his craft, and commitment to his community make him a highly skilled and accomplished filmmaker.
