Jonatan Egholm Keis is a Danish director working across music videos, commercials and scripted film.
At the age of just 20, Jonatan wrote, co-produced and directed his first 30 minute film, Sail On, My Love, featuring Netflix stars Lucas Tønnesen (The Rain), Karoline Hamm (Equinox), Rex Leonard (The Rain) and Oscar Giese (Chernobyl). The film went on to be a part of the Official Selection at the Oscar- and EFA-qualifying Odense Film Festival in 2021.
Since then, Jonatan has worked as a director for the renowned Scandinavian production company New Land in Denmark, Sweden and the UK. He's directed several experimental and gritty music videos for artists like Rudimental, James Vincent McMorrow and Danish pop queen Drew Sycamore whereas his video for the latter won 'Best Pop Video by a Newcomer' at 2021's UKMVAs and also received a Berlin MVA nomination for ‘Best Narrative’ that same year.
Jonatan's newest film, Katarakt, was produced with support from the renowned production company Snowglobe (The Worst Person in the World, Godland, The Innocents, A White White Day) in Copenhagen.
Jonatan is currently a student at the National Film School of Denmark.
