In Case We Get Found

Three strangers scramble into a bathroom to hide from an outside threat. Together they confront their worst fears and make plans to survive the next ten minutes; the typical length of a mass shooting event.

Director Statement

My father is a survivor of the Oregon Umpqua Community College shooting of 2015 that claimed 10 lives and injured 8 more. He is a professor of history and was just settling in to teach a class when they got word to lock down. He and his students sat waiting in the dark, with no real idea of the horror happening just a few doors down. The human response to great stress is varied; there's panic, denial, aggression, humor, sometimes all at once. My father's experience inspired me to produce and direct this film, about three strangers waiting out an unknown danger and the conversation they have.

This film is proudly produced and created by female filmmakers, with every major member of production team (except our beloved DP Austin) female identifying.
