Director Statement

HAIR is a film that was created for a film school assignment. After a discussion with my best friends Johnna. She gave me the idea to write the script about a Hair Stylist that goes on a killing spree. I wrote the script then when it was Green Lit we went into preproduction. In casting I mainly used Backstage but also word of mouth. Our full cast and crew came to 26 people. This made it one of the largest projects at school. I was lucky to get award winning cast and crew members on board to learn from. We worked well as a team throughout filming. They all put in hard work and long nights to make this film great. In post working with the editor Mark Tiarra, it was thrilling to watch all the bits and pieces come together. More long nights but well worth it. We had a screening of the film in my directing class and I took the note back to the editor. We spend another day on editing. Now, we have what we present to you. A short horror film that we are proud of. We all want to work together again soon.
