Daily Dose


Daily Dose is an existentialist work of reflection where Logan attempts emotional sobriety by recalling milestones of his childhood caused essentially by the abuse of antidepressant drugs from his single mother, Tori. In this flashback, he recalls his imaginary friend Cora and her tipping point.
The movie is set in a small apartment on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Short film 16 minutes duration.

Director Biography - Igor Correa

He returns to Brazil after twenty years living in New York City to finalize his first work as a short film director Daily Dose, shot in NYC and post-produced in his native city, Rio de Janeiro. He is the CEO od the independent film production VERUS films where he writes, directs and produces narratives for commercials and institutional video contents. Currently writing his first feature film Mr. Correa started his career in dance and theater at the age of 9. At 18 he moved to NYC after a show tour with the Rio de Janeiro dance troupe VATA at Town Hall - NY. Back in Rio, he was invited by the artist/poet Mariana Moraes to direct a collective work for the Art Rio 2018 called OV(O)O, the theatrical-dance exhibition was also filmed and is in the process of becoming a short art film. Mr. Correa's Theatrical credits abroad include: "Elysium" (Man) by Gail Miller - NYC & Dublin, "A Chorus Line" (Mark) Marvin Hamlisch - NY, "Penumbra" (Patient) by Rafael Quiles - A Lie in the Mind "(Mike) by Sam Sheppard directed by Edith Meeks - NYC. he has also performed with numerous NYC tap dance companies on venues such as: Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Town Hall, The Duke Theater, Beacon Theater, La MaMa Etc, Symphony Space and Jacobs Pillows Dance Festival. He is currently in the cast of "Homo Tapiens" musical that will open in RJ on January 2020 and his stage credits in Brazil include Roney Villela's "Amor Bruxo" (Carmel), "Tip & Tap Rato de Sapatos" (Tap) by Rolando Tasso, "Gasparzinho" (Gasparzinho) by Fábio Pillar and André Dias and integrated dance companies Thalhe by Jorge Texeira and VATA by Valeria Pinheiro and Tania Nardini. He studies with big names in drama such as Salem Ludwig, Susan Batson, Miller Lide, Earl Hyman & Arthur French. Attended four years of performing arts at HB Studio, received a scholarship from Steps On Broadway and completed courses at the New York Film Academy and Black Nexxus.

I am in a constant search for the veracity and truth of any narrative. The core truth of the craft, the screenplay and the actors are the paths I choose to move my stories forward. I will always question our existence through my work of reflection and the short film Daily Dose is a good representation of that thought.
