Blacksmith Rose is a performing duo comprised of two women who write and record music for the films they create.

They believe that the sound quality and musical soundtrack is one of the most important tools of filmmaking and as such, they insist upon writing the songs and professionally recording their own music for all their soundtracks so that their films have the best sound quality possible.

They also believe that compelling story telling can be achieved with simple, low-budget, DIY filmmaking techniques. Their filmmaking philosophy is that films are a way to bring meaningful emotional connections to both audiences and those who are involved in the making of their videos. As such, they frequently use their friends, family members, and people they meet during their travels as performers in their videos.
